Melbourne’s Cut Copy may have ridden the wave of the mid-noughties electronic indie boom – think the long-forgotten likes of Cazals, VHS or Beta, numerous increasingly insipid Kitsune compilations – but it says much about tonight’s set that the best response is saved for the band’s older tracks, specifically those plucked from 2008’s ‘In Ghost Colours’.
Manchester based DJ and Carl Cox favourite Petrae Foy will play at the first DNA at Sound Control on October 8th, with Jason Herd, Steve Mulder and more. Skiddle pinned him down for a chat about all things Petrae.

On a brisk, damp Manchester night it’s sweet relief to have tonight’s gig to look forward to. While outside sheets of rain prove the summer is coming to an end, a sweltering Sound Control and a soundtrack of warm desert rock, courtesy of Kurt Vile, is a welcome tonic.
